Success Story No.19

I received an email from Carol yesterday. Again, miracle does happen. This is her story.

She got married in 2003 and was pregnant a year later.  However, it was short lived because it was an ectopic pregnancy.  The doctor had to remove her right tube.

After another 2 years of clomid and no sign of pregnancy.  Between 2007 - 2008, she went through 2 failed IVFs and 2 failed FETs at DFC.

In early 2009, the doctor wanted to remove the polyp and  2 days before the polypectomy, she bled heavily and the polyp had detached so no surgery needed.

She was then scheduled for 3rd IVF attempt.  Her period didn't show up that month and upon scanning,  the doctor and herself were both amazed that she was pregnant naturally and she gave birth to her first son.

After that, she managed to conceive again but had a miscarriage in 2010  she had a cornual pregnancy last month and the doctor had to remove her left tube. Cornual pregnancy is the most dangerous of ectopic pregnancies as it is on the uterus wall which can rupture and  the person could bleed to death.

She is 39 this year and still have high hope and going to try for her 3rd and I assume, be final IVF attempt. I wish her the best.
